Work attire

So I started a new job as a secretary. I am the youngest worker at this business everyone else is the age of 30 or older. I showed up my first day coming straight from school (my boss knowing this) and I was completely underdressed. I was wearing jeans and a tan lace top with a pink cami underneath with flop flops. I am going to work for my second day on Saturday and I plan to dress better. I don't want to look like I'm trying to hard but I don't want to look like I'm a kid. So I need your help.

If anyone thinks of something business casual that would be appropriate for work please comment or email me. I will post more about this and some ideas I have tomorrow.

Easy art with glue and salt

I thought this art looked really cool. It's also really easy. All you do is take a canvase or paper and paint it with water color however you like. I think it looks best to make the painting abstract because the glue and salt completely change the look of it. Then you drizzle glue on the painting and sprinkle some salt on it. After it all dries the salt will sparkle and create a starburst effect.

DIY Tshirt pockets

These are plain tshirts with an added touch by just a pocket. You could do this to Tshirt or plain sweaters or even tank tops. You could all cover the pockets of jeans with patterned fabrics. Just thought this was cute and that you should all see it. I really like the black Tshirt with crazy patterned pocket. It gives that scapula look a little extra special touch.

I thought this was really cute and I'm planning on doing this eventually but not now.

Blog over load

Hi guys! So I know I haven't posted anything in a long time but I have been thinking of blogs . So I am going to do a blog blast about random things that pop into my head. Trust me there is a lot in there. I hope u all liked the beginning of my DIY series that I didn't really finish. I kinda went into a DIY over load and completely shut down.

DIY's are great but you have to have a lot of time. Especially when doing more than one or perfecting them for other people. I tried my best to get you all some good ones. I will try to post more and keep up with my blog but I am also going to blog about other things. Also I may not do all the DIY I may just see one and think someone will like it and just post it on here.

I am beginning my blog blast tonight. Thankfully I don't have school tomorrow so I will be posting a series of blogs tonight and some tomorrow but I don't know how many for sure.

Keep reading and tell your friends :)

DIY School Spirit

Super easy DIY for school! Sorting events and pep-rallies are the best place to show your school spirit. They best way to express your school spirit is though what you wear. So an easy way to do this is to make a one of a kind Tshirt to show your spirit and have fun.
All you will need is a Tshirt of choice. I just went to the dollar store and got a cheep white shit. You will also need sizzors, fabric marker, and anything else you will like to use. Then you justk are the shirt and make it look how you want. Our theme for the football game is "rip 'em up" so I took my shirt and fringed it, made it off the shoulder, and cut little holes in it to give it that ripped effect.

And this it what it looks like

Cheeta print nails

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I know I promised a few DIY's but my weekend was crazy so I only got to do one. The good news is today while I was at work I got a long break and did my nails so I will tell you about them and post about my DIY tomorrow so I can put pictures of it.:)

These are my Rainbow cheetah nails that are not as hard as they look. Basically if u know how to make dots you can do these. Ok so all u have to do is choose your colors. I chose to make my cheetah  five different colors so I could make my toe nails all different colors. You could also just choose one color. First you start out by painting your nails the base color of your choice (white).  Then you make dots of the other color that you want to be your cheetah print (pink, orange, blue, purple, yellow). Once that has dried you take the color you want to outline your cheetah with and apply it too the edge making small C's. I have nail polish pens that is what I used to make mine with but you could also just dit a pencil or tooth pick in the paint. Then to finish you apply a top coat and were them with pride. If you try this email me pictures!

DIY tips and tricks

I don't know about you guys but I really liked the way my jeans turned out. Seeing how well they looked inspired me to do a little research of DIY clothing projects. DIY is a great way to turn old clothes into new styles or add a desired clothing item to your wardrobe knowing its a one of a kind piece and it didn't break the bank.
Two cute styles I am seeing this fall is lace and bright colors. I love both the styles but I don't love the prices. I worked at two jobs all sommer and I'm proud of the money I made. Going back to school recently of corse I have to go school shopping but my parents make me pay for the clothes. I wanted to get cute clothes for good prices and anymore I feel like we pay way to much for clothes. Lace tops can cost up to $30 dollars alone. I don't want to pay that much for a top that has barely any fabric to it. This inspired me to try to make due with I have or sow my own clothes. DIY combines both of these and most projects are quick, easy, look cute, and best of all cost very little.
Tips for the best DIY possible.....
Figure out what you want and before you go looking at stores, look online to see if it can be a DIY! If your DIY consists of needing some supplies see what you have around your house and see if you can substitute some items. If you don't have the clothing you need or don't want to use what u already have go to thrift stores to look for it. Don't be ashamed! I'm planning on doing at least 5 more DIY clothing projects and I'm just going to go to goodwill to buy used clothes. This way I do not spend a lot of money on the clothes if something in the project goes wrong or I don't like the way it looks. If you don't have a particular project you want to do but you want to try to do a DIY then just google DIY projects or look up tutorials on YouTube. The more time you spend looking up DIY's the cuter items you will find. You could also just experiment and make your own DIY project. If you know how to sow DIY's are the perfect way to recreate clothes. Ive watched a lot of tutorials that show people using a shirt that they love the fit of and tracing it onto their fabric of choice.

This weekend I am hoping to work on more DIY projects and post them on here. I am going to try to put videos up so you guys can hear and see what I'm doing without me having to post pictures for every step. If that doesn't work I will try to make a vlog and attach links so I can post on both.
I hope I'm helping you out and giving you helpfull information. Feel free to send me an email at lynn95m13@gmail.com or comment in here about anything XOXO

Tie Dye Jeans Before/After

Before is dark then after is the lighter jeans.

DIY: Tie Dye Jeans

I would have to say I think these jeans are adoribol. I'm going to do other pairs I will post pics don't worry. First ask your parents if it is ok to dye your jeans! My mom gave me a funny look when I asked her so then I had to explain. So what you will need are a pair of pant they can be either white or blue jean. I chose white just because I had an old pair of white capris that had a nice gray stain on the butt but I didn't want to get ride of them because I love the way they fit. You will also need a craft spong or kitchen spong, plastic cups or bowls make sure they are large enough to hold at least two cups of water or more, laytex gloves so you don't dye your hands, hot water, trash bags, a work space that can get stained, and fabric dye. I used Rit die. I just got it at Behulers. You can use other types of die. Just choose the color you like. In the picture above my jeans are still wet after I washed them they faded a lot.
Step one: lay the trash bags out flat and lay your jeans out flat in an areas that can get die I on it just did this in my drive way on the cement. If you are using blue jeans you will want to bleach ur jeans first. Simply just fill a bucket with bleach water and let your jeans sit in there till they are a light blue or white.
Step two: put on your gloves then mix the dye to the desired color. REMEMBER the color will fade a lot in the washer. I was going for a real color but it did not turn out right so I improvised and I still like the way they look. You can use as many colors as you want but they will mix together so I would stick to only one or two.
Step three: dip your sponge in the color you want to start with. I suggest starting with the lightest color to get the colors to blend better. Apply enough dye to soak the desired area. You want it to be very wet so the dye goes all the way through the top layer. Continue this until you have enough of the area covered with that one color.
Step four: continue step three with your darker color. If you chose to use one color make a dark cup of dye and a light cup.
Step five: when you have both sides completed fallow the watching direction for the die. Mine said to wash in cold water and dry a desired.

If these direction are confusing just look up DIY:Tie Dye Jeans on youtube! I found this DIY a quick and say solution to turning an old pair of jeans into new. You do not have to fallow these exact directions. You could just use beech on a pair of colored jeans instead of dye. Also you could use a spray bottle, paint brush, rag, or shaped sponge to create different effects. You could also dye other things besides jeans. Like your back pack, T-shirt, hoodie, socks, hats, purses, and much much more.

I'm going to post a picture of after  my jeans were washed just to show how faded they are. Keep in mind the darker the die the darker they will be after they are washed.

My Appologies/ Ideas

WANTED: Your Opinion!
I no I no I have been slaking! I'm sorry, I'm going to try to post many not every day but at least twice a week. I may post more than once in a day. Keep watching and hopefully I'll help you out. There is always room for suggestions of corrections I'm always open.

So I was thinking about doing a series of blogs of DIY's. What do you think? Im all about saving money and making the old the new. I know you all have clothes form years before that are just sitting around taking up space. What if we took the old styles and made them the new. And for those of you who are lost DIY= do it yourselfe. DIY could apply to anything! I'm going to try to keep it to fashion and excessories but all things are you there. You could do this to your room, your car, your locker, your hangout, ANYTHING!!!!

So let me know what you think. Also I'm going to try to post some videos of these things because I feel some of there are going to need more than a list of steps and a few guided pictures. Whit this being said tell your friends about this blog I no it needs work but give me a break its my first one and they are very time consuming! But it needs more views or I'm going to stop. So here is the plan by the end of September I would like to see at least 20 view then I will put up a special video of what I do to get ready for schooling the morning! :) Also with that I will do at least 20 posts this month so all you have to do is just yourselfe view every post and I'll see if I can get that video on hereof I can figure out how.

Back to School Styles part 2

Red jeans are a classic and easy to match.  A simple blue and white sweater will match perfectly for a cool fall school day.
Salmon jeans have to be my favorite color of jeans. Salmon is a very popular color this year and looks good with all colors.  Salmon looks really good with neutral colors. A pair of salmon colored jeans looks great with a cream top (plaint or patterned).
Colored jeans can be worn in all seasons because they can be worn long in the winter or rolled up into to capris for in the spring and fall.  Don't for get to excess arise and add little bits of color all throughout your put fit.  Try to only work with 2 colors ( salmon and turquoise) and 1 neutral (tan/cream). To many colors could become over wheeling or clash. Have and stay bright. :)

Back to School Styles part 1

2012 Back to School Fashion Trends
In the 2012 school year a popular fashion trend seems to be colored jeans.  Colored jeans look good almost all the time. I personally like to wear bright colored jeans. They give the outfit that extra look but it's still jeans and a Tshirt feel.  Colored jeans are the perfect way to look dressed up and cute but still feel cmfertabol.
Colored jeans are easy outfit makers. They can be paired with just a Tshirt, a patterned shirt, or a fancy blouse.
Some colored jeans outfit ideas look like this. -> when buying colored jeans I recommend buying more than one color. I only naught me color at first and I found myselfe wanting to wear them every day.

3 easy summer hair styles

Sorry about not blogging yesterday! :( I was sick! But don't worry I'm all better now.
To make up for yesterday I will blog twice today because I have a few things I want to share with you.

3 Easy Summer Hair Styles
I don't know about you but with summer quickly coming to an end I don't have the energy or time to do my hair. Pluss I want my hair to look healthy when I go back to school. So for the next few weeks I've decided to only use hair styles that do not involve putting heat on my hair. My hair has the natural beach wave to it so I am pleased with the way it looks without any jell, curling or straightening. Feel free to modify these hair does if u don't like the way ur hair looks naturally.

The first hair style is the Top Knot
This is just the basic twisted updo it always looks stylish. Simply tie your hair into a ponytail at the very top of your head. Then Swirl the pony tail around the hair tie and secure with another hair tie. You can use bobby pins if necessary. If you like you're top knot on a little messier just scrunch up the piney tail and secure with another hair tie, it may take one or two.

Second is the Side Braid
Braids are one of the most popular hairstyles. Is the perfect fit for almost every occasion. You can either French braid all of your hair to the side or just French braid your bangs. I prefer to only French braid my bangs. Start by partying your hair wherever you like. Next if you part your hair to the side start at the part in braid the largest side. You'll want to make sure that the French braid picks up small strand of hair to keep the break close to the scalp. You can either braid the bangs all the way to the end or stop the braid when you stop adding hair.  Aft that is complete u can either tie the rest of your hair back or style it as you wish.  I prefer to do this when my hair is wet then let my hair air dry.

Third is the Volumized Ponytail
Start by applying a dry shampoo or root-boosting spritz. ( I just use hair spray!) Start by teasing the strands of hair closest to the top front of your head then work your way back to where you pony tail will be located.  I think a medium height ponytail works best with this look.  Then gently comb all the teased hair back and and smooth it but keeping the volume.  To finish this look tie allow your hair into a ponytail.

Part two will have pictures- I hope

It's the Real Deal

Teen news coming from a teen! Who would know what is going on in the teen world better than a teen? I'm a 17 year old girl from a small town. When I was younger I always looked at clothes in magazines and thought who would wear this. I would watch people walk down the red carpet and wonder if it was actually real. Now that I am older I want to help out all those girls thinking the same way I did. I'm going to share videos, tips, stories, and quotes that I think could be helpful, cool, encouraging, or even just out there. I want this to be a place to learn and share. It's all about the girls and sometime the guys ;).  Us girls have to stick together and help each other out.
I'm going to try to post every day at least once or more.  But I'll need your help feel free to email me at Lynn95m13@gmail.com about anything. You can just say hey, send requests, tell stories, or anything. I'll try to respond to all of them. If u tell me a story and I find it motivational Ill blog about it or just make it it's own post.  But I won't say who its from it will annamous.
Oh! And tell ur friends!!!! :)
